Besides, I can't afford an unsettled tummy, ... In case a door hits me in the @rse on the way out. smiley - rofl

Some lovely attitudes and flouncing there for a bit, eh? And the 2nd time in a very few days that I've seen the word "cronies". It must be the latest catch-phrase in some very minor circles. smiley - winkeye

Oh yes, I know of him. I once thought I knew him, but after his last little tirade at me, several months ago, I've discounted him. As have quite a number of other people around the PR and other threads. Everyone eventually is seen and acknowledged for who and what they are, eh?

Yeah that's true, I knew him for a while on the Chat thread but he got a little self rightous and I let fly

It's a shame how some people "seem" to turn after a time, eh? Or more likely, their true lights come through. Oh well, "stuff happens". smiley - erm

So, letting the little people wallow in their own quagmires, ...

Has your week anything novel to look forward to? Just before the end of business on Friday, I uncrated, assembled and began the testing of some totally unfamiliar radio stuff. And I'll have to ship it very early tomorrow ...

So then you haven't won any mega-lotteries either, smiley - huh

Oooooh, wouldn't THAT be a lovely thing to put in a journal. And see the smiley - envy oozing ... here and there. smiley - evilgrin

I have a few tickets for the past week or so, on our bulletin board. I check them on-line from work usually.

Milady also contributes to a pool at work, but we still pick up a couple along the way ... Ya never know.

They peddle them at the same shop that I get my smokes from. So I usually grab one for the next draw. I'm not greedy, certainly not needing multi-zillions of $$$. Enough to clear the mortgage and some debt, give a tidy slice to my daughter ... That would be nice. smiley - smiley

It's been revealed that most young people are relying on a lottery win to see tham through old age, with odds of 14,000,000-1 there are going to be a lot of poor pensioners in 50 years time

That kind of blind faith is kind of scarey. We have a national 'pension plan' that is supported by contributions from our pay. And a federal supplement to everyone 65 and older, whether they qualify (by having contributed) to the other package. I also have a small military pension, and building a small'ish one from this company that I work for. If all of them are still around in another 16 to 18 years, we should have enough for general comfort. With or without personal savings.

Every now and then, some doom-sayers get on about how our national one just won't be there in 20 years. But a look at the real numbers being added, the investments it all goes in to, ... I'm not overly worried. But still trying to be self-sufficient if we can.
