Your current tagline - (Happy Xmas your gluteous maximus, I pray God it's our last) - leaves me puzzled.
I do note that you appear to be a believer; your posting in the 'Spirituality' thread seems sincere and devout. So I'm curious as to just what wish it is you are praying God to grant. Surely, you are not asking for an 'end of days'.
Or have I misunderstood and you are rather seeking some change to the maximising of gluttony that has become such a central aspect of Christmas celebrations. Are you seeking a return to the more devotional aspects of the season.
Feel free to ignore me or to expand at length. Either response will be met with equal interest.
And may I extend to you and yours, wishes for a Happy Hogswatch.
The solstice is soon upon us and the darkness of Dethember will soon give way to a return of the Light. (My own pagan spirituality gives me perhaps a wider and more tolerant view of the many ways this seasonal festivity is observed.)

The tag line is supposed to read Happy Christmas Your Ass I Pray God It's Our Last. It's a line from Fairytale of New York by The Pogues, a tale of bitter, arguing lovers, only TPTB won't let me put ass in my tagline so I changed it to Gluteous Maximus, which is the clinical name for it.
I to practise my spirituality in Pagan way's, so I wish you Solstice Greetings rather than a Happy Xmas.
I hope this has cleared things up for you

Thanks for making me aware of it.
I happened to see a cover of it done on a Canadian telly Xmas special by an ad hoc ensemble of Canadian 'celtic roots' musicians. It was quite tuneful and particularly animated in the dialog between the spatting lovers. I'd never seen anything like it this side of an old Meatloaf tune.
Cheers,

Don't ask me why but Ronan Keating (of Boyzone) and Marie Brennan (of Clannad) felt it was neccessary to cover it, they have great voices but they were just not convicing as arguing lovers and even changed the words to erase Faggot and Slut. It wasn't a good cover because they're just too goody goody to be able to carry it off
