Hi Reefgirl! How goes it?
I had to tell you about this, but couldn't carry on the conversation in "The Most Banal Thread On H2G2" or whatever it's called, because it's just not. Anyway, my dad used to do this for our pud when he was alive, God bless him;
1. Get a bananana.
2. Remove one quarter-one third of the skin lengthways down the inside curve of the bananana and squish it ever so slightly so it will stay laying with the skinned "side" facing up.
3. Make cuts across the bananana flesh, about 10 is perfect depending on the side of the bananana, but it's up to you.
4. Insert a Cadbury's chocolate button in each slit.
5. Brush along the open "side" with some nice white rum like Bacardi.
6. Bake.
Can't remember how long or how hot to bake for, as I haven't done it in ages but if I remember rightly you're a so experiment.
If you brush the rum over the bananana then give it a minute to sink in, you'll be able to brush more on and so on and so on, but it depends how highly you count alchohol content in your pudding priorities.
Hope my garbled explanation makes sense, but it's not really sprocket science.
