Aha. So I was right. It was your way of saying off without actually saying it.

Something I didn't guess, you are now deliberately trying to 'wind-up' people genuinely trying to help get your entry into the Edited Guide - people who *aren't* screaming and shouting, but are posting comments and suggestions, which is why your entry is in PR.

Well, I am fully aware that lurking PS's, and posting links to conversations is a common tool used by many to support their "positions". If that is indeed <>, then you've answered my question.

The idea of having public message centres is that they are public and can be read by anyone.

If you don't want someone then linking to it somewhere else, don't post it.

'Lurking' is not a word I've ever associated with h2g2. It's supposed to be public.

'Lurking' is not a word you associate with h2g2 since you don't know h2g2 well enough or long enough (in spite what you think).

Lurking was used here since day 1 and the most famous lurker was DNA (<rip&gt.

Naim - As much as your oppinion is appreciated, your behaviour in this subject is somewhat trollish, and I don't blame Coral for her responce above.

I also do not agree with you or Gnomon (Who I really like and appreciate, but am allowed not to agree with) on the PR thread - but that is besides the point.
I think Coral was wrong to take the entry off PR and I think you were sooo wrong to post your trollish post there.

She was trying to be civil while being attacked for no reason at all (which is against her nature - normally she'd get all defensive and pull the entry off PR at least 20 posts earlier)

People just kept saying the same things that were already discussed without minding the backlog (eventhough some of them read the backlog, but just decided to keep restating the same thengs that were already said and resolved in the first 10 posts).

Naim, as a former h2g2 staff Youre supposed to be the voice of reason, but I see you posting all kinds of unconstructive posts in PR - sometimes really out of place, and in both cases I have on my mind at the moment - in contradiction to anything the Italics had to say about the subject.

I just recently returned after a while off h2g2, and I think I understand why so meny people left... I hope we can avoid these kinds of things in the future - for our and h2g2's sake.

Please respect Coral and post your responce in my space (youre most welcome there).

We're all entitled to our opinions. 'Lurking' here was being used to mean that I was doing something that I shouldn't have been doing, which is completely ridiculous. I can post where I like as long as it's within the House Rules, and as I was posting a message, then I couldn't be attempting to hide.

I came over to Reefgirl's space actually to reassure her that I thought her entry was good and that I thought it would get into the Guide and that she shouldn't give up. Seeing her slating all the people in PR got my back up, and changed my mind about what I wanted to post. Am I being told that I'm never allowed to visit people's spaces to post messages?? That's why I said I was using h2g2 for what it was meant to.

It's amazing how people in a corner always turn to Douglas Adams to back themselves up.

I'm sick of people going on about how bad PR is, and that people are 'scared' to go there, when all the trouble is generally caused by someone not actually wanting their entry changed in any way and then taking it out on the people who review it. She wasn't being attacked. Her entry was being reviewed, and once again, when she doesn't like it, she throws her toys out of the pram just like she did over The Post.

I don't care if you never 'talk directly' to me again Reefgirl, but if you put an entry into PR, you can bet I'll be 'talking' to you.

I may well contradict the Eds. I'm entitled to my own opinion even if that is different to theirs. It's possible I haven't seen their opinion, I can't tell as you've not told me what's on your mind, but as you say, I'm an *ex* member of staff and I don't *have* to agree with them anymore. It doesn't mean I have to be the voice of reason either, anymore than anyone else has to be.

I generally try to be constructive in PR (unless people act like Reefgirl here, when I stop being constructive and start being defensive), if I don't always suceed, you're going to hold it against me? I don't think I fail, but as I started this message, we're all entitled to our opinions.
