All he can build is Lego. Not very good with his hands, sadly...

On the upside, a Lego worktop would be colourful and novel. On the downside, it won't hold much up, and would melt when coming into contact with hot pots.

That's true. He'll try and take it apart at any given opportunity. Maybe that's why we have a gate on the kitchen door...

We were standing on saturday outside the gate, me and the baby that is, with his precious dada inside, and were both shaking the gate and shouting 'dada, dada!' at him. 
He seemed to enjoy the attention very much.

I am now just a few last minute things like Veg, cream, milk and the like to get, my daughter has gone to her dad's for christmas so it's going to be quiet

Were you ever fond of his mother? I find mothers can be quite disruptive in their son's life. Though I do like my mother in law. She's very nice.
