Thank you for the entertainment, everyone! I don't venture into these bis of h2g2 very often, and I'm glad I did today

Gah, LordWolfden is making one of my favourite conversation horribly boring. It's awful. Now all that ever happens is him posting boring jibberish, and the rest of us trying to suggest to him how to be less boring, which for each person is slowly getting less subtle... he came and complained on my personal space about something I said to him. He told me to give him an apology. I didn't feel I did anything wrong, so I refused. *growls* I don't know why he is so annoying, but I was glad when I found out it wasn't just me and my ability to randomly really dislike someone for no good reason.
By the way... What's a troll? (I'm assuming I should know this... but I don't... sorry... I figured I should ask.)

A troll is someone who says things to deliberately provoke an outburst. LW seems to be a past master.
BTW, have you checked out his PS recently?

Sorry to barge in but I've finally found a thread where I can vent!!! I've been stewing for ages and I wrote a journal entry (check it out if you want - I'm not sure how to link it, sorry) but no one's responded yet.
he is so annoying me and you can't say anything
Oh and if I'm annoying anyone, please tell me and I'll barge back out. I'd rather know.

LordWolfden's page: "'I mean what I say and say what I mean.' Me "
Well that explains it. He's a d*ck

Howl with pride? Howl with derision is more like it.

I'm trawling through the backlog of "What just happened". It's hilarious.
I don't get him. If I was attacked constantly by everyone I met online I'd never want to come back but he seems to love it.
He even turned a thread on the London attacks into an argument and then said it was disrespectful to argue

About Wolfie, I believe that he may just be a troll. (Sorry lil, but I'm going to tell the story again. Block your ears. )
He once told me that he was a member of the Star Trek message boards under the name WolfTrek. A few weeks ago I went to that site to find the answer to a question that was bugging me, but while there they were having trouble with a spammer who posted 7 pages of nonsense. Somebody asked whether it was "Wolfie", so I asked wheter they were talking about our WolfTrek, and indeed they were (the spammer wasn't him though).
It seems that he was on that site for three years. He's known as a spammer there and had somewhere around 50 accounts (partly because he kept being banned). There's actually a thread on another website (which I can't access because it's blocked to everyone but established members) that tracks his movements across the internet, in case he goes back to the Star Trek message boards.
Now I've seen at least one other account on h2g2 which has the same name as one of his accounts on that site, ladywhitewolf.
What's more, he sends spam emails to several people about twice a week. Some of the email addresses he sends them to are to emails he got from people on this site.

Is it possible to ban him from this site or am I just being mean?

I think it's certainly worth drawing the Italics' attention to his messageboard history.

"Please, no flaming or trolling"
He's certainly broken this one. He's annoyed many Researchers and openly claimed to doing so deliberately. He told me to "f*ck* off" last night, which certainly constitutes flaming.
"Please be patient."
He's broken this too. Clearly he can't be bothered to wait for anyone to respond to his drivel, so he just posts more.
"No spamming or flooding."
Yup. He's definitely broken this one.
"Repeatedly posting personal or offensive comments about individual members of the public or people who work for the BBC may be considered harassment."
Yeah. He's done this, I'd say.
"You may not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third parties"
He frequently C&P's stuff from third-party websites without crediting or explaining anything about it.
So, he's not broken any rules, then?

OK then, he has broken lots of rules then.
But he'll probably plea ignorance and use his puppy eyes to get off on a warning.

Are you on What just happened now GodBen?
By the way, like mi'lord, I'm fairly new here and I don't want to p*ss anyone off so if I say something that isn't kocher or allowed please tell me. This is actually my first online conversation board thingie so I don't know all the unspoken rules.
