Making it explode twice would be cool. We filled a broken stereo with fireworks once. Admittedly it was broken because we hit it with an axe so we could put the fireworks in, but I digress.

Well in that case, could I suggest snooker balls in a microwave. It's a fantastic way of disposing of surplus ovens

With soap and water. Once you've cleaned it, rinse it thoroughly using a hosepipe. Then check it works by switching it on.

Or for the (slightly) more sensible option, try compressed air.

A lint-free cloth'll do just as well too

Who's interested in sensible?

Those cans of compressed air aren't always crompressed air. The ones I've got are compressed propane! Now eith that, all you need do is invert the can and fire it over a naked flame held at a distance of, say, about 12" from the end of the nozzle and you've got yourself your own home made flamethrower


BTW, use in doors is not advisable...

at which point you go OH!! and dissconnect all power form the system as quickly as possible.




when the same happens with a second powerpack you tend to look into what other than something dodgy inside said 1st powerpack that could have caused it...

Would reversing the polarity blow all the crud back out again

the fan is set to blow crud out as it is ... to reverse it would be sucking it back in ...

the fans push the hot air away from the cpu etc not pull cold to wards it.
