Life beauty

I have just had the best early birthday present anybody could want, and even better it did not cost the giver a penny!
In my journal dated 13th May, one of those transient people I wrote about got in touch and said "Thank you for helping ." The seed that was planted over four years ago, finally bloomed.

Looking Back

As I review my homepage I realize, that I am approaching one of those so called big birthday years. 18, 30, 40, 50 65 100. Well mine is the 50th Already I am getting the little hints at the humorous Card which will remind me of my age. I still feel only 21 to this day.
Looking Back: I can remember reaching the magical age of 21 suddenly 40 had arrived, which appeared to slip bye in as if a blink of the eye.
At this stage of my life I wonder if I have brought happiness into any ones life? Have I at any time aided someone to reach his or her own potential. Friends, lovers etc are transient so I will never know!
I can now look back with affection and joy to my parents. Like any child I will have made them laugh, cry with happiness, and cry out in despair. They have watched as I made mistakes in love, grieving as I grieved. Lifting me up, when I allowed it, giving encouragement when I needed to make a decision. In turn I have seen their Love for each other, their despair their humanity.
My Brother gives me great joy, we grew up fighting like cat and dog. I still find myself trying to know if we are still arguing, we are not I just feel it. I love him and his wife dearly.
My life I have meandered never knowing where it would take me. When ever I applied pressure to take my life in any direction, It would all go wrong! So I plod on aimless knowing only the two certainties of life birth and death, and oh yes tax. At times I feel unable to take another step on lives highway, when someone will reach out their hand, other times it is my hand that retches out.
Summing up.
If I may see something of beauty and be allowed to reach out with love every day I'm happy. Those bad days then quickly fade.
