i'm new here so i don't know what's going on. why is what i wrote gone? i wasn't doing anyone any harm, was i?

i really, really didn't mean any offence . i didn't swear. i don't see how i could have broken any rules, i've hardly said anything. can someone help me? please?

nothing, ming. i didn't even use capital letters. i just want a nice quiet place to be myself and talk to nice people. i only joined today and already someone hates me. what have i got to do?

no foreign languages (i don't speak any), no swear words, no links (i don't know how to do them yet), nothing, just a few words of introduction. i hope they put it back soon, it's really depressing having such a downer on my first day here.

Aww. Don't worry, it's not anyone person, it's the moderators. Unfortunately because it's been pulled on Saturday, you'll probably have to wait until Monday for it to be passed and put back up. Don't get depressed though! It's a nasty thing to happen when you're so new to the place though.

i thought when i looked round this place felt safe and nice and full of friendly people who would welcome me, but it's just like everywhere else, full of hate and bile and viciousness. i wish i hadn't come here.

i read the rules, and didn't break them. that means some cruel person has pressed the button and said i have to be silenced.

i don't care. i'm used to that. i'm used to being made to be quiet. i'll be quiet here too.

But honestly, h2g2 is a wonderful place. It must feel terrible that your own space gets moderated so quickly, and I really feel bad for you. But believe me, no one hates you. I doubt very much that an actual researcher here pushed the button, it's more likely that our wonderful moderators here (boo! hiss!) weren't sure whether something you wrote was OK or not. I'm trying to think of things they'd pull your page for... a broken link? copyright material? I dunno. Just please don't let this put you off.

I'm sorry, but I really have to go offline now. I'd already logged off when I saw your reply, and I wanted to come and say this.
Anyway, if you do go I'll understand.

will i ever find out who complained about me? i'd be interested to ask them why they did, what rule they think i broke.

i don't know how to do links, and i only wrote a couple of paragraphs of text about me off the cuff, so it can't be copyright. i really can't see how i can have broken any rules at all.

thank you for coming back and reassuring me. i'll give it another chance, although i have to say i'm pretty put off. do i get to find out if it was the moderators or someone complaining about me? i've not had any messages, and i did give them my email address when i agreed to the house rules and stuff.

i'll stick around, thanks to you. i just wish i knew who had complained about me (so i can avoid them) and why (so i can avoid doing it again, whatever it is). i don't want to cause trouble, i really don't.

I know its terrible being moderated but you should receive an email telling you why.

well i've checked my email and there's nothing there. most of what i've posted on this site has been pleas to explain why what little i've written has been taken down, so being one of the top ten people who's posted here isn't as encouraging as it might have been.

I know it says not to do this, but if you click on edit and then 'update' your space, it should be restored. Then we can look and tell you what (if anything) may have caused the problem. If you're sure there's nothing there that broke the rules, I don't see any good reason why you should have to wait until Monday to get a second opinion.

Also, I think it's unlikely that your page was 'yikesed', but more likely that a moderator misunderstood something or over-reacted. I've experienced that problem myself.

But please don't leave just yet. Give us a chance.

I've also been moderated this weekend (repeatedly). My problem was broken links, which is rather odd considering that the links seem to work properly. After receiving four of those pesky moderation emails, I finally just took the links out (though I left the addresses there, just in case anyone wanted to copy and paste).

I don't think Blossom's problem is broken links.

But maybe he will learn from the mistakes at others. Though it would be something of a first if he did.

well i haven't received any emails at all. not one. does this mean they don't even know why they've hidden it? does that mean it will be unhidden soon? i hope so.

i do learn from my mistakes, ben. one of my mistakes might have been coming here, it looks like. less than a day here and almost all i've got is negativity. i'll be gone tomorrow if this isn't sorted out somehow...

Hmm... do you think maybe '...one of my friends will kill you' might be a little inappropriate?
