Yes, you will be - I should have sent you a completed afghan instead - would have saved so much time!
Even if you can't get it done in time, give him what you have done (even if it just looks like a very long, wide scarf) and then take it back and keep working on it.

The nice thing about working on afghans during the cold winter is that they lay across your lap and keep you nice and warm!
