Who else has found Get Writing? I clicked on a link from the BBCi News site for a competition, and was pleasantly suprised to find it's not a dip wannabe site after all...
So I registered. And am now exploring. Can I hear a w00t?

Subdued? No! That was just lower case exhiliration!
The downside of it though, is that I have to rehaul my personal space - because it's part of the dna hub, the one I have here is the one that's showed there...

Last time I used the tag was when it was launched - I think there were 'teething troubles' with it too. But in more ways than one, that time was the 'last' time I used that tag.

*still sees those eyes*
Anyhoo. Not that I know anyone else who writes (because they are competition, and therefore I don't like them too much), but I would recommend the site to anyone who is remotely interesting in the field of writing.
It's just amazing actually - you retain copyright, they publicise your work, critique it, and there's potential for publishing in an anthology.
Sweet!
As I said to aka just a second ago, it's excellent for promotion, but I had forgotten how involved dna sites are. I'll be there all day I think. And I'm not even dressed yet!

Perhaps you should have a play with the silly gadgets:
A2144152 = Word Cut Up Tool
A2144170 = Tool Box
A2144206 = Story Tarot

Everyone says my writing is dark! I suppose that's better than "goth", but all I want to know is whether it's good or not.
Oooooh.
SEF Posted Mar 19, 2004
That's partly what I'm saying though: I'm not really the right person to tell you whether it is "good" or not because I'm not into dark stuff or erotica or anything remotely like the sort of thing you are writing. I could comment on your spelling, grammar, punctuation and construction but I doubt you really want that.

SEF - don't be funny. (crazyhorse) is a troll. Troll troll troll.
Does it matter what genre it is? I would comment on any piece of writing as long as it was good. The content isn't really important to me - more the form.
But heck, whatever.

SEF Posted Mar 20, 2004
OK, so the ground rules are that trolls are not allowed to have opinions at all - good or bad.
PS I should report you for tomato abuse, eg to Spook's nonsense thread where I am long overdue for writing "the tomato's revenge" follow-up to my previous weird story. I think I've been stuck in the middle of the parrot limerick story there for several months now (and I was trying to keep my posts linked).

Goody what a fantastic site!
I like your Milkshake boy short story... class. Not much of a poetry fan myself so I will let more knowledgable people comment on that but the short story is Hoofing!
....
Wonders if AGC Ben uses that site?

Saturnine, if you want a go at a "dark" (sick?) poetry competition (which is also connected with blogging), see:
