u know, the best way to stop a computer "eating" your work is to save it to disk

Well, actually, it WAS 2am when i wrote that (i live in Sydney)
Also, the assignments were erased from my zip disk on the uni computers. The computer viciously decided that i did not need anything on my disk, and promptly erased it for me. Kind of thoughtful

You really want to know about Canberra?
if the answer is no, you should skip the next bit.
well, it's pretty cold in winter and then REALLY hot in summer. 
it's kinda small (comparing to Sydney), and there's not really much else I can say.
i feel sorry for you. I hate when the computer deletes your work and you have to re-write.
i'm in yr 10.

Ahhh....you're forgetting about the legality of fireworks in canberra (they're illegal in sydney....nsw in general i think)
and of course, don't forget the porn industry that puts bangkok to shame!

well fireworks being legal is actually an illusion. you have to have about 12 licences before they will let you even THINK about buying fireworks.
I can't deny the porn industry though.

not true! (about the fireworks) you can go into any sports shop and get a bag of them......I usually get the $100 bag (not actually the big ceremony ones, but just the crackers jacks, and the spin ones, and all those pretty ones, that go fizzle and crack, and spray pretty things everywhere....)
