I did to one, but it didn't clear the launch wall (BANG! 'Nuf said!). Anyway, the armour ain't the problem, it's the engines. They stick out a lot and are really easy to hit, not a good thing! I'm trying to sort it without compromising agility, but it's pretty hard...
