I'm Bassman, one of the Assistant Community Editors at the guide and it's my job to ease you on your way into the community.

I see you have a pic of a bike at your space - do they have bikes on the planet California?

I thought that since I was working so diligently at messing up your space I should actually post a thank you for this welcome with a subject that will say something relevant to what I'm thanking you for. 8)

Slick space you have there. Love the trick of using the table as a "placard". Gotta remember that one ...

It's a lot different to what it used to look like in the days before the BBC took over. There's been so much said negatively about that, but at the end of the day they rescued us when the previous sponsor pulled the plug.

It used to have photos of my band, the Flight Simulator that I was working on at the time, all sorts of stuff. I've found it hard to be creative and have only recently given "The Bassment" as I call it, a facelift. So thanks for the positive feedback - it makes it all worth while.

If you take another visit and click on the "People to meet" menu, check out Galaxy Babe's space, hers is quite neat. I'm sad to say that the Italics are going to stop the use of the MARQUEE tag, that's the one that lets you scroll text or smileys etc, which is a shame. It's because not all browsers can see the effect.

(The ITALICS run the place and are also referred to as "The Powers That Be". Their names appear in italics when they post.)
