Yes. Today I am feeling tired and miserable. A few weeks of sleep deprivation, my period returning, a cold, falling over and hurting myself, my ongoing saga with my trapped nerve in my foot, and then possibly fracturing my toe in a misguided attempt to pick up from a hard floor.
I'm fed up. I hate the biology of being female. I hate my innate clumsiness. I hate having an appetite that outstrips my needs. I hate my inbuilt wish towards self-annihilation that shows up every time the going get a bit hard. I have so many reasons to be happy, why the hell do you want to quit now?
This morning sucks. I have a nice day to look forward to, but, right now, I am just angry at the world.
I'd better have breakfast.

Nothing wrong with having a good moan Vip. Life is awful. Gin for breakfast is the only sensible answer. Does that help?

Oh, Vip. I can relate to that feeling... and the source for me is the unbearably hot weather combined with malfunctioning a/c and utter stupidity at work. Body and mind and lack of sleep conspiring to make you suffer would be so much more difficult to cope with.
If it helps to moan and blow off some steam, that's hardly self-indulgent.
I hope you did in fact have a nice rest of the day, and that your foot and toe stop hurting.

The worst thing in the tea front was that I had to leave an almost untouched cup behind in order to get to our destination on time. It was the correct decision, but having two mouthfuls is almost worse than none. I was craving Earl Grey all the way there.
It has been a good day though; meeting the Pasteys for lunch, dropping in on a cousin for tea, and now on our way back home to meet another friend for games this evening.
has been very well behaved, the sun has shined, and we even found a shop that was closing down and selling off walking shoes. We needed to get some anyway, so getting then half price was even better!
All in all it has been a lovely day. I hope yours have been good too.

I'm sure it can be very very tough, but as long as you also have enough joy in your life to get you through the difficult times ....

Well, my opinion is that while many of the minutes are quite delightful, in general the first year sucks absolutely. Luckily my BFF agrees, which I found quite therapeutic. There's nothing worse than feeling the pressure not to be feeling the pressure.
So and waves of sympathy. Although I'm glad you had a great day in the end! That helps too.
