Nothing much seems to happen in my life...
Posted Jan 18, 2002
It's amazing - here's this wonderful journal for me to write about things, and I can't think of anything to write in it.
Okay - how about writing about the fact that I can't think of anything to write about?
How about this? Tomorrow marks the end of my first six months on the weight loss trail, and I am two pounds short of my fourth stone (that's a loss of 54 pounds to people who measure weight in smaller units than stones). Pretty good, huh? Not exactly fighting back against incredible odds material, but an achievement nonetheless.

Last day in work! Hip hip hooray!

Or something similarly cliché'd.
I'm off work now for two whole weeks - great stuff. Not that I plan to abandon my researching for that time, I'll still be popping in now and again to do a bit of scribbling and maybe even a bit of talking.
It was quite amazing, I was an hour and three quarters later into work than I would normally be (we work flexible hours here) and I was still the first person in on my Section - Must try harder I think.
Christmas 's to everyone. Remember to have lots of and and and and - oh and more

The decorations came out of the box in the office today - largely because I took them out.
We now have a slightly bizarre collection of old manky bits of foil looping around the ceiling of our bit of open-plan office at strange angles, whilst our finest bit of tinsel now decorates our 'in' and 'out' trays. and looks very festive.
Best of all - my leave is all booked, and I'm on holiday for two whole weeks!

The morning after the night before
Posted Dec 6, 2001
Ooh, getting up at six in the morning after a long concert is always a drag - I had the day off yesterday, maybe I should have had today off too!
Never mind - it was a really good laugh, even if the music was a bit on the silly side in places. The audience loved it, and that's what counts.
