Hurrah for the Band Curry Night!!!

Ah, well. Back to the grind of the old keyboard again. A week off is never really long enough. Maybe I should have gone for a fortnight, but that's for the summer, really.
It was a good one, though. Late mornings, late nights and the fun of playing in a show, too, with a group of great people, most of whom I only really get to spend time with properly during the show week. The rest of the year I might see them all once a week if I'm lucky, and we don't get the chance to really 
'cos there isn't enough time.
Needless to say, I am now feeling quite bereft (as I feel every year when I go back to w*rk after the show). Quite an anticlimax 
Never mind. With a bit of luck we'll all be drafted in to do next year's show!

As you can tell, I'm pretty happy today. There is a reason for it (not just the fact that Spring is just around the corner - no it wasn't risqué or smutty either) and I got really 
'd up last night!

Happy New Year

A happy Chinese New Year to everyone! Firecrackers galore and leaping dragons!
Something to make me feel more perky.
And, to make things even better, today is going to have nice weather for a change - well it's nice here at least. Hope it brightens up anywhere where it's not nice
. It would make a lovely change to see some sunshine after days and days and days of rain/drizzle/hail/thunder/more drizzle/more rain/gusty winds/gales/high winds/rain/drizzle.......

We have had such weird weather recently. I know that February is often a wet month (it's also known in some quarters as 'Ditch-Filler'). But I'm used to it being at least a little bit colder at this time of year - it's just too mild and that's completely thrown my systems out of sync.
And it's been so wet that going out has been made a much less enjoyable experience, so I've only been out of the house when I've had to be somewhere else. DullDullDullDull.
Still we are told that there will be a cold snap at the end of this week - with a bit of luck that will mean it'll be sunny. Hope so. I'm sick of rain.
