Hey there Tom, Official CACer , you applied to be a miner a while back, and again on a more recent thread. We put you off at first because volunteers need to know a bit about the site before taking things on.

You’ve got really stuck in with the CAC work, and you’re a Community Artist now so I don’t know if you’re still keen on mining or have time for mining (Keeping up with the AWW sure takes time!). In some ways CAC is more fun – much freer of rules ! I did it for a while. It was good.

Anyway, what I wanted to say was that if you are still interested, and you feel you’ve got a good idea from the UG entries that appear on the Front Page what standard of entry to look for, and you're familiar with what's Edited Guide stuff, what's Alternative stuff, and all the various rules, etc, etc, etc, just say.

yeah ok, I would still like to be a minner, the community artisist dosent take up to much time, and I can still fit in the CAC, so yeah I would like to become a miner if there are jobs going

so, what do I have to do to become a miner then?

That'll give us your email to send the invite to the group to.

Before we do that, have a good read of A1092494 and A1092539. They're a bit long, but there's things there you do need to know and to sign up to - Miners code of conduct, and non-disclosure stuff in particular. You also need to be familiar with what's on rf5.

All that remains after that is
1) for me to work out how to do the invites, Jodan used to do them but he's sort of vacationing - it might be that we need to ask Jimster, in which case it take a few days.
2) to find a canary, a hardhat and a pick for you .
