You! Yes, you, the person reading this! I have a question to ask you, your family, friends and colleagues:
Do you, or any of your family, friends, colleagues, etc., know any inventors, engineers, science-oriented or television people who may know or have seen a programme on British TV a long time ago (about ten or fifteen years or more)? See Journal entry on Glass fibre mud huts and cardboard houses.
My previous entry was obviously terribly boring because, apart from being welcomed by the ACE months ago, nobody has responded to it! Guess I will have to find out about Guide ML and how to put pictures and smiley faces in my words!
About me:
Why Mirror? Apart from having been nicknamed it at school once, one of my favourite phrases is: "before you pick up a magnifying glass to look at someone else's actions, pick up a mirror and look at your own." So my name is a constant reminder to me to do the same!!!
Hate fighting of any kind, loathe most sports, injustice and prejudice. More the pondered answer than the quick response.
Will read anything with words but particularly Sci Fi. Favourite book: 'The Ship who Sang' by Anne McCaffrey. Loved the Philip Jose Farmer series of books about the Riverworld. Anyone out there still remember Doc EE Smith and the Lensmen books?
Love music from the mundane (adverts) & pop to classical and even some such as Philip Glass! Favourite 20th century album: Carl & the Passions "So Tough" by The Beach Boys. How many of you have even heard of it, never mind like it? Favourite Classical piece, Beethoven's 7th Symphony (although it is a very close run thing with his Violin Concerto!!)
