Candi - now 42! Started conversation Oct 19, 2006
I had my 20 week scan today. Everything looks fine . We're very relieved. We chose not to find out the sex - we prefer a surprise. Midwife appointment next week. I feel I can relax and enjoy my pregnancy now.

Indeed.
Congratulations, Candi.
I remember seeing you write something about another preganacy in something lurked a while back... is this your second? I hope I'm no prying too much by asking.

Hi Evangeline and Avenging Washcloth , Thanks for the congratulations. Hope you're both well .
My internet activity is now mostly confined to trying to sell things on ebay to clear the baby's room ready for its arrival, looking at baby related websites and looking out on Freecycle for offers of free baby stuff!
No, AW - this is my first pregnancy - maybe you're stretching time! I have talked about my pregnancy in another thread but not before about two months ago. I thought that now it was about time I had my own journal entry instead of just being a hanger-on at Kelli's.
Like the motto in your name - AW - I'm bearing that in mind a lot now that I have to slow down a bit!

Thought I'd pop in here and say hello in your journal - of course you are welcome to say anything you like in mine too! Glad your scan went well, just got back from mine and it was amazing. Can't believe we won't see spud again for another four months though...

Hi Kelli, thanks for dropping in. It is nice to have all that wriggling going on isn't it ?
I'm doing fine, Evangeline - some small niggles like some pelvic discomfort and finding it hard to get into a comfortable position to sleep, but delighted with the kicks and wriggles! Doing yoga and meditation every morning helps with the aches and pains and also helps me to stay relaxed.
All my family and P's are very excited and our mums keep buying little bits for the baby, plus we're getting all my cousin's son's clothes from his first year (he was born last Christmas day), so we won't need to buy clothes for a while.

Update:
At last, we have a son!
He was born (16 days overdue) on Saturday 24th March 2007 at 23.52 weighing 9lb 12oz. Unfortunately I ended up having to have a caesarian section, but this may have been a good thing in view of his size! (I'm only 5' tall).
Anyway, we're both home safe and well and all just starting to get to know one another. P and I are absolutely overjoyed with our little boy.

Congratulations and . I'm glad he's here and safe, and, golly, what a big baby. You noble woman, carrying that young basket-ball player about inside yourself.

How wonderful Candi - I have been wondering about how you were getting on!
Do you have a name for him yet?
Hope the recovery from the section is swift
