The Ban Sidhe

The ban sidhe can be heard wailing in the darkness, with an unearthly cry like that of a child or a cat.
The ban sidhe is a shy creature.
She may take the form of a bent over tortured hag wrapped in rags or that of a beautiful young woman but, however she appears to you, the cry and the long flowing hair are the same.

I am The Devil's Child.
I know this because they have said so and they do not tell lies.
They are good people. Holy, righteous, devout, respectable people.
I am an ingrate, a liar, and a troublemaker, but I am tolerated because I was a punishment from God.
You do not have to tolerate me though.
You should steer well clear, lest you become infected with my evil.
