Hi ya!!!
So glad to meet someone else as nuts as me!! hardly ever meet another Due South fan. Benton's soooo nice.
Always thought it was a weird combination- detectives, sci-fi and period stuff. But I'm not alone, so it can't be that weird. Yey!!!

yeah its ok....new year and all. im hoping there'll be some decent tv this year!
What did you thnk of the Dr who episode over christmas?
Due South!
NPY Posted Jan 1, 2006
Yeah, TV gets worse every year, especially over Christmas. It's not like we haven't seen the Sound of Music of Back to the Future vefore!
But the new Doctor was great. Wasn't sure what he'd be like. Thought he was too young but he proved me wrong. Can't wait till the rest of the series.

hehe...had my reservations on the new doctor, as i thought ecclestone was great...the new doctor seemed to be ok - but the new series clip they showed look promising! So im excited...im hoping i wont be disappointed!
But...but...back to the future rocks! granted, it is shown on the tv rather a few too many times, but still!

Yeah, I thougght Ecclestone was fantastic. Don't know why he only did a year as the Doctor. He was so great in the role. But David Tennent doesn't seem too bad. Seems to be a similar kind of Doctor.

I hope you don't mind me butting in... I came to your space via another thread (can't think which one now) anyhooo...
I also like period stuff, sci-fi and men in uniform. Have you tried Sharpe? When the books were written he was supposed to be a sort of Hornblower in the Army. And he does so closely resemble Sean Bean
Anyway. It's always nice to know one isn't alone with these things!

I was just randomly wandering and wondering if the thread's title really did mean *that* Due South... which it did. Yay!
I hope you don't mind me a-lingering along with Sho.
I rather enjoy Sharpe too, although sometimes I enjoy it seriously and sometimes I like to have a chuckle at it with an or two. Either way, I think it's a rather good show.

Welcome Vip!! Welcome Sho!!
Glad you could drop in. Yeah, Sharpe's great. Never read any of the books though. Have a few in the house, but haven't got round to reading them yet.

Oh you should, but then I am a huge fan of the books so I would say that.
I'm terribly excited but filled with trepidation about the new starting on Saturday. David Tenant, yes. Catherine Tate: who knows?

I know!! The Doctor's back!!! I just hope Donna isn't going to be as annoying as she was in that Christmas special.
Everyone loves David Tennant.

I just hate the way she talks without prising her teeth apart!
