whether to sleep, perchance to dream...

I am in my Monday quandary.
I have to be at work at 7pm.
It is now 2:47pm.
I have to decide whether to stay up or take a nap before I get ready to ride my bike to work.
I have no idea what awaits me at work.
While I try to keep an "open mind", I fear various options.
Many times I hope that I will arrive to find that I have been fired.
That way I won't have to deal with the boredom, banality and horror of the way things have been before.
I have this odd feeling that God wants me to learn something from this place. I also have the feeling that it might take me a long time to figure out what it is.

What did you decide, tonsil? Lack of sleep can be a dangerous thing, particularly if you are required to concentrate in your work. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1895753.stm

I think I almost remember staying up.
That was a long time ago.
I had to go home from work last night within the first hour because I was very weak. Well, by my standards.
Uvula gave me a ride home. I drank a lot of orange juice, some Drambuie and went to sleep.
I kept dreaming about being on the cast of a reality show. It was very frustrating.

As best as I can remember, trying to find some underwear that fit...
beyond that, I choose not to go.
It seemed to take hours for me to get beyond a few steps into the space of the dream. People kept repeating themselves and I kept trying to find new ways to say the same thing.
Just night before last... or was it last night...
I dreampt I was at work. It was very tiring. I finally had to wake up to get some rest.
