Just sit there and be quiet Part 2

I have a possible job interview to face sometime after Tuesday, if they tell me to come in. I have to call Tuesday afternoon to see if they want me to come in.
That is the first hurdle: the waiting.
The second hurdle is the interview itself. I am a much better interviewer than I am an interview subject.
Uvula tells me to watch my mouth and not say too much... or the wrong thing.
Lovely. Now I have to think about that.
Isn't the point of an interview to give the prospective hirer a sense of what they might be getting if they do hire me?
Would not hiding me light under an bushel be a form of lying?
Of course, me spousal unit assumes that if I can connivingly convince the interviewer that I am "normal" enough to be hirable, that I can then continue the charade on a daily basis and become a "different" person in order to keep the job...
So, then I have to think about that.
What if they want me to do something that I don't know how to do and I can't find a way to convey my confusion withtout making it sound like I'm copping out?
What if honesty is the last thing they want and all I'm supposed to do is snap into the program like a new Lego?

Sorry to hear that TR.
I hope you'll be given a chance soon.

Being good at application forms and interviews is a very bad way of letting people know you'd be bloody great at something. It's a totally separate skill.
Better luck next time.

Thanks.
It occurs to me that the jobs I've held the longest didn't involve an interview. Most of them were temp gigs that I stuck with, probably longer than I should have.
Those were kind of like Russian Roulette, though.
