The Incredible Exploding Breakfast

This morning, I decided I wanted eggs, but that I didn't want to do dishes.
"I know!" I thought, "I'll make an egg sandwich!"
Normally to make an egg sandwich, you take an English muffin, slice it in half and toast it. Then, you put half of it on a plate, very carefully crack an egg on top of it, and put it in the microwave for about 40 seconds. When it comes out, top it with cheese and a little butter, another 20 seconds in the microwave, put the top on and eat.
I forgot- I have an extremely powerful microwave oven in my new apartment.
At the end of the last 20 seconds, I noticed that the gas bubbles in the egg were getting a little large, so I stopped it early. As soon as I opened the door- pow! The egg blew up, all over the inside of the microwave.
What a mess. Well done egg, though.

take one large pickled girkin,
place on chopping board
then (useing care) take the lead off an electrical applicence
bear the ends off the wires and making sure you have at least 3-4 foot of lead and keep the plug on the end,
at this point do not plug in the plug
but put the bare end of the wires into the girkin (one at each end)
Now plug the plug in the electrical supply
watch and enjoy the display

Hi, Scan,
Pricking the egg yolk is an eggcellent idea and you might have saved yourself the mess! I usually break the egg on to the bun/bread etc. it's safer! At least you weren't daft enough to put it in the microwave in the shell, that could have been painful.
Well you saved yourself some washing up but was it worth it. I find I am always 'punished' for taking a short cut!!
