If I could throw my two cents' worth in.....

After I got out of school and started working
full time, I found that working is lots more
tiring than going to school.

Even worse is trying to take courses at night
or on weekends while you're working full-time.
Shea can attest to that, too. smiley - erm

But there's not a lot to be done about it.

Surrounded by the geraniums that you hate.

I used to work in a greenhouse. There was
a whole greenhouse devoted just to geraniums.
smiley - yikes I hated them, too, after working
with so many. smiley - erm

"Horrible things...*shudders*"

I've always thought that geraniums are
put in graveyards because the dead can't
complain about them. smiley - winkeye

Geraniums - they smell so bad and make you itch....

However, I've had some scented geraniums in the past that almost were nice enough to make up for that itching part.

I'm sorry they make you itch, Lady Scott.

I'm sorry you don't like having to work with
them, Sarge.

For some reason, I like their blossoms. I have
gradually learned to like their smell. They're
very low-key and unpretentious. Dahlias and
peonies, hydrangeas and rhododendrons all seem
poised to assault you and make you surrender.
Geraniums just sit there and exist. They don't
grow fast. They don't demand to be worshiped.
Martha Stewart does not make a big deal over them.
Nobody goes to flower shops to get bouquets
of them for their sweethearts.

That's my kind of flower: unassuming, not
glamorous, just kind of soothing and trustworthy.
