Satisfying? You must be joking. No ne studies nursing for satisfaction.

Well, it's for having a job that's always neede everywhere, sometimes being your own boss, and satisfying the endless need to please people.
Um...hello?

Hi Elly, Sorry I haven't kept up the thread but I'm on the night shift at the moment so I only have time for quick visits to h2g2.
Um...hello?
Yael Smith Posted Mar 24, 2002
Well, I either work from 7.30 or 8.00 am, 'till 4-5 pm, or 'till 11.45pm.
And I hate it.
Never EVER be a waiter. It sucks!!!
Um...hello?
Mistadrong, (Count vonCount.)the last Gog standing Posted Mar 25, 2002
My son did it for a while after a spell of washing dishes so I know the score on that front.
Stroppy customers, stroppy supervisors, stroppy chefs and aching legs.
I would never dream of giving staff a hard time (and I tip )
Um...hello?
Yael Smith Posted Mar 25, 2002
It's the supervisors I detest.
They are a pair of sour faced women, who never got over the rush of "I was once a waitress and now I order waiters around."
The rest- i don't mind.
Um...hello?

::Makes voodoo dolls of the supervisors for Elly::
Enjoy.
I read your journal and something interesting has been in the news lately about romances that start on the internet. It seems that they turn out to be stronger than ones started in RL.

Funny, Mike's just told meabout this last night.
Maybe it's'coz the first impression isn't there and you have time to get to know eachother. Or maybe it's 'coz there aren't that many interbet made couples.
How are you?

I think some of it is to do with honesty and there's more expression of feelings as well, especially from men. It leads to a quicker mental intimacy; minds coming together. One person made the point that the Victorians used to do the same thing by letter, write, propose and eventually meet to marry.
I'm fine, we're having a spell of fine weather and I'm out in it as much as I can. It's a nice change from the wind and rain of our winter and I managed to time my holiday right. How are you?
:-)

Letters are magical ad wonderful in my eyes (ask Mike how much I love them...). To me they mean so much, 'coz I can read them over and over, and get the feeling of love in them at all times. Same with pictures. I have to admit that though I'm never looking much at the phisical qualities of my partner- this time, I'm pleased with what I see, too.
I'm feeling rested, seeing that I'm out of Jerusalem for a few days. I have a forced holiday that I'm using now, to be with my mum and friendas, all living in this area of the country, and not having my dad's presence, which is always good. He wares me out sometimes...
I have a chance to laze about.
Sadly, it also seems to be a beginning of a war here, the 4th I've been through in my life, and I don't like it. If I won't get a visa to get out of here, Mike will get involved, and that makes me feel even worse...
Well, life's like that.

I manage to keep up with what is going on through the newspaper I read, and it's saddening to see a kind of momentum to the events there that seem unstoppable. I really hope that something can be done towards peace.
Glad that you're having a nice break.
We've had a few days of sunshine which has coincided with my holidays. I've been out almost every day this past week, cycling or walking on the mountains. My youngest son came home for the weekend and we went for a day's cycling up one of the bike trails yesterday.
I'm paying the price in stiffness today

I tried it once, the horse knew a novice when it saw one.
Half way down the mountain it decided to eat some grass and I ended up near its ears hanging on for dear life.
That was a first and a last.
