An optimist?
Well the glass is half full as far as I'm concerned.smiley - smiley
What would be the situation if you were married in Israel; surely you would have legal status then?

Yes. And if this plan would fail, we'll get him here. But first- we'll have to marry there. 'Coz he's not Jewish. Then we'll do the paperwork, and get some money from the government, to help us get started. I'll be able to study, he'll learn Hebrew first and then find a job, and that's about it.smiley - smiley
It's not as hard as it is to get there, only I feel it blocks allot of options for him.

I suppose it does but maybe opens up new options as well.
As they say here. One door closes another one opens.

Yes, I guess the worst thing in any situation is the feeling of being helpless. I find that I feel a bit better once I can do something no matter how small.

Eek!smiley - yikes
I didn't reply in a week!!! Sorry...smiley - erm
Well- he's got a job, and things would look better, if I haven't called the embassey today, to ask how much money they'd like me to have. They want me to have around 2,000-3,000$ while all I could come up with, so far, is around... 1,00$ and a bit.
On the up side- I started getting paid for my work this week, so I might come up with the money sometime next year.smiley - erm

That's ok Elly, it's not easy to answer everything on the site.

I take it you mean the British embassy?
With Bob having a job it's a step in the right direction though. Who knows what will come given time. This time next year we may be celebrating your arrival with smiley - bubbly

smiley - laugh Dear- if I don't get the visa 'till July, I won't get it at all.
Anyway, thinking of it again, I might be able to make enough money. We'll see about that.

Sorry for not posting sooner, some days I have just enough time to log on and say hello, be a little silly and it's time to go again.
Your last message sounds more hopeful.smiley - ok

Well- now that I think of it- I'm good.
I've found a good paying job, for 3 months, which is all I can really commit to at the moment, and decided to go back to nursing studies. And we'd probably be living in the UK for the next few years, 'coz this job might just sort our problems, finanncially, at least.
Cross your fingers for me!smiley - winkeye

I've got everything crossed, so forgive me if I make typing mistakessmiley - winkeye
One thing about the UK, there's a desperate shortage of nurses here, they are being imported from the Philipines at the moment. Nursing studies seem the way to gosmiley - ok

I know that. I'm still not sure wether I should study Midwifery or Pediatric nursing, but I've got time to decide.smiley - smiley

Hiya, Mista!

Post 38

Mistadrong, (Count vonCount.)the last Gog standing

All I know about both subjects comes from television programmes, the hospital drama types.smiley - winkeye
Going by those, Midwifery is less hassle but Pediatric is more glamorous.
smiley - vampire

Hiya, Mista!

Post 39

Yael Smith

Well- Midwifery brings kids to the world, Pediatrics tries to keep them there.smiley - smiley
I love children and babies, so I think I'll go for Pediatrics, 'specially 'coz I'm not sure of afew things about Midwifery... And children are far more interesting than women.smiley - smiley
About glamour- I think it belongs to the techy proffesions, such as ER, Paramedics, or Intensive Care. Not Pediatrics.smiley - smiley

I think you're right about that...from a medical point of viewsmiley - winkeye
Seriously though I should imagine that working with children must be very satisfying.
