CROESO!
Possibly more - I'm Welsh, so it's written into our genetic make-up . Respect to anyone who rhymes "vortex" with "Gore-Tex"!

I dunno...
I was a student for 4 years in Caerdydd from 96 to 2000, just when the furries got big n stuff. Also and more importantly, if it wasn't for the furries I wouldn't have met my wife, who I now live with in San Diego
We met at the Mash up the CIA gig in December 1999
I like the "...it fits wonderfully" bit of that line, like it's needed to be told. You can just imagine Gruff all snug in his orange jacket. hee!
What's yer favourite album?
Why "Badcrumble" anyway. C'mon, you Mrs. Evans really aren't you?

I must admit, "Fuzzy Logic" and "Mwng" would be in there for a photo finish, but I'm a big fan of everything they do - they've got that balance of eclecticism and insanity just right, don't you think?
For an explanation about Mrs. Badcrumble, watch any Eddie Izzard shows - all will be revealed! As for the Evans thing - how did you know? ! AND my husband's name is David as well!
Mrs. Badcrumble (still drinking but getting ready for the weekend, when copious amounts of will be consumed)
By the way Ste, have a large on me, mate!!

I think Mwng and Radiator are both complete classics, equally so. But the other three are not far behind at all. With you on that eclecticism/insanity comment. They are just trippy enough to mess you up, but they're not like 60's druggy music which was dire.
Are you a member of the SFA email list?
I knew there was a reason I asked, I just couldn't put my finger on where I heard Mrs. Badcrumble. I adore Eddie Izzard, he's the best comedian ever. EVER.
Squirrel looks up:"Have I left the gas on? 'course not I'm a f*ckin' squirrel"
The Evans thing was a total guess. Hahahaha. I was going to put Jones, but i thought it was too predictable. I only had about five surnames to choose from if you think about it
I'm having a not-too-bad (polystyrene) cup of as I type . Tea and a chunky kit-kat. Mmmmmmmmm. soon though.
Ste XL and one for you Mrs Evans

for the - it is the weekend, after all!
*takes a sip, and ambles gratefully towards a chair*
Well, I'm still laughing at the squirrel putting make-up on ! D'you find yourself laughing out loud sometimes, because you've just thought of something he said, or one of those faces he pulls? That man has a .
Well, Ste, I'm going to have another one - for me this time - Have one yourself!
(Or if you prefer)
*sips gingerly, trying to make it last - doesn't want to get !*
So, how did you end up in America, via Wales, then?

Ste Posted Feb 10, 2002
Eddie Izzard is amazing. He's a great story-teller like Billy Connelly, but with a twisted surrealism. I can't think of any sketches apart from Mr. Dog at the moment, but I know I do find myself laughing about him just randomly in the street sometimes.
I like the squirrel not being able to remember whether he left the gas on or not. His face is so funny: ..."course not I'm a f'ing squirrel".
I'm glad they have Newcie Brown out here, and Bass and Guinness. They are a little civilised in America.
So, the CIA gig in Dec 1999 was where I met Mimi, she is a Yank, from San Diego. She was doing a year out at Birmingham Uni, and incidentally is a huge Furries fan too. So I pulled her (she would dispute that though of course), and things went on from there. It got to the point where if we didn't hurry up and get married we would never see each other again. Which was of course unbearable. So here I am with a green card in San Diego, quaffing newcie browns under blue skies and perfect weather in the middle of February.
Cool eh?
I'm just waiting for the damn SFA tour. It's been aaaaages. I think it'll arrive in April . Are you on the official SFA email list?

Not since I moved here they haven't. Which to be fair to them was only 7 months ago.
They've already toured the UK haven't they? Or are they doing more than the furryvision gigs?

Sorry again - I meant to say, we're going to Holland to see them and visit friends at the same time .
I didn't think they had played over there - how d'you think they'd go down then?
SFA OK
Ste Posted Feb 16, 2002
They have a hardcore small following because of the live shows that they have done in the past. I can't wait for them to play dead small venues.
Have fun in Holland.

We will - I'm hoping they'll play a festival this summer close to where our friends live, because waiting for the next tour dates is bloody excruciating!
Have you heard any Hawkwind? Some of the stuff SFA have done recently gives a definite nod in the direction of some of their work when Robert Calvert was singing and writing with them. Drugs tended to *ahem* "enhance" a lot of their work, but at the same time they came out with some amazing ideas.
Who else do you listen to, then?
mrs. badcrumble (Have changed my name from Evans to Pavlov and am fitting in well. Am now Gareth Pavlov.) Yet another inspired take from Eddie Izzard!
By the way, help yourself to and - Galaxy Caramel (mmmmmmmm!)

Ste invited me. And I love SFA as much as either of you
Only Hawkwind song I've heard is "Silver Machine" (inevitably). It was sung my Lemme who went on to front Motorhead.

YAYYYYY!
US Tour. Anyone by any chance going to the El Ray in L.A. on May 7th?
Hawkwind. Hmm, a Uni mate tried to get me into them at one point. He was very enthusiastic about them. I can't remember much about the actual music cos I think I was too mashed.
Other music. Right then:
-Mogwai
-Grandaddy
-The Charlatans
-Belle and Sebastien
-Modest Mouse
-Lots of dance music, but only good, non-cheesy stuff.
-Tons of other stuff. Which I can't remember:
I possess no memory when it comes to music. I've bought so many CDs by walking into music stores forgetting EVERYTHING that I wanted, buying something totally random and then liking it. Does anyone else have this music-shop amnesia?
Going to Gorkys Zygotic Mynci tomorrow in L.A.! . I love it when UK bands play California. I get to show off my accent around people who would be impressed by it. And in the case of Gorkys I get to wear my Mwng t-shirt with pride, and actually have people who might recognise it.
Yours, sometime indie-
