You want surreal? I'll give you surreal...
So yesterday J and I went to see X-2, right?
And that was great fun and all. And after the movie we went back to my house to watch Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. And we didn't watch much of it cause we were talking too bloody much, but as both of us has seen it neither of us cared.
And then round about three in the morning when I was sitting on the floor stretching (and to cut this titanic storydown to reader's digest size) he came over and kissed me.
Now /that/ is surreal...

Terran Posted May 10, 2003
Not sure what to say really.
You're a braver person than I am, given the other guy knows where to find you.
If I was in a particularly paranoid mood in that guys situation, I think I would be looking everywhere to find out what was going on. But thats just me.
On the other hand if I was in J's situation, I'd be chuffed you're even talking about it (though I guess since he kissed you it would be difficult not to talk about it).
Having never been in the fortunate/unforunate position you're in, I can't really give any decent comment, to be honest.
I hope everything works out.
But I still think complaining to Thor about an argument whether someone should call Thursday, Thing or not is more surreal
Verc
P.S. Lock Stock is a great film , but I don't think that really helps

We-ell...
Here's the thing. The relationship with Firefly was/is over, and I told him the whole truth. He said he just wants me to be happy, which just made me feel worse.
And I suppose I deserve that.
So really, I'm punishing myself enough right now, and I really don't need it from anyone else.
Thank you all.

Your welcome. *decides not to punish her anymore*
Who cares if Verc isn't a thingite anymore?

if you turn back into a thingite now verc you will face the wrath of the Thor legions that you built! you cannot abandon your army, your creation, your legacy!
destiny showed you the light and you left the thingites. just listen to the temptive mind control technic of YS. it's enough to make you puke
don't be a fool. you have come so far.
LONG LIVE THOR

verc used to belong to the thingites. they won't say THURSDAY. they call it thing
verc left the thingites due to being sick of not being able to say THURSDAY.
verc founded the No-things as a result(to which i am a member), this is the society AGAINST the manifesto to re-name THURSDAY thing.
now YS is trying to turn him back using mind control and past temptations.
look to the future verc! it starts this THURSDAY!

Aries (ACE + Badger) Posted May 12, 2003
I agree, thing is a bit of a stupid name. THURSDAY suits it much better. Do these No-Things have a manifesto page that I could look at?

why yes, just here A1032427 . it isn't very large or colourful. just an application form really. we spend most of our time in the thingites threads causing general mayhem

So No-Things aren't allowed to be Thingites as well, not even on the sly?
"Don't worry. You're perfectly safe"... "Thats not the point, I'm now a perfectly safe penguin, and my friend here is quickly running out of limbs"
Terran Posted May 13, 2003
No you're right Creachy. I must stick to my guns
Sorry YS, I'm afraid the Thingite cause is too much. Long live Thursday!! Well I hope we can still be friends
Aries : I think most of our members have had something to do with the Thingites at some stage. One is even fighting some kind of double agent cause, where she is trying to convince the Thingites she is one of them, when she is really one of us. Except that she is a little too convincing ... So I think it would be a lot easier if people declared their allegiances one way or another.
I'm not so much against their campaign, as against their obsessiveness (sp?) about not being allowed to use the word THURSDAY.
We should face Thursday head-on, no matter how much we can't get the hang of it, and not mask it under a cloud of "Thing".
Thats another advantage of being a No-Thing. We can say Thing and Thursday, but the Thingites are limited to just saying "Thing". I think its a bit sad really ...
Verc - 100% behind the No-Thing revolution

I like the double agent roles.
Hmm, 75% behind No-Thing and 25% behind Thingites.

I'm not sure how that would work, but you're more than welcome to try Just try and get a few Thursdays in there if you can

Well in two days its Thursday so thats when I'll be able to get the most Thursdays in. Being Thursday of course, it would seem the most logical time to say Thursday as many times as possible.
Or now.
