Ooh sorry. I'm just a bit dazed at the moment.
I'm going to grab a book of practice questions and go to bed.
Good luck!

I just wanted to drop you a note to say...I am a volunteer in the local hospital. I have said on a meeting: "There is no Hospital, there are no Doctors without Patients"
Remember on that. Because I am the "cheerleader" for the Patients, bringing a smile with my cheerful existence as I visit daily the sick. Good luck if you can find the art of the good bedside manner. Bluebird
Good luck!
Z Posted Nov 28, 2004
Thank you Blue Bird, I really do my best to have a good bedside manner...
And sounds like you're doing good work there..
Good luck!
Blue Bird Posted Nov 30, 2004
Yeah! There is only one thing to concentrate on:The wellbeing of the patient!
One never knows when will become one of them!
And remember: " What goes around, comes around"
We are all in the same boat: humans and mortal.
The job of a "doctor" is to delay death!
Good Luck again and again. With best wishes: Blue Bird

Unlikely I'll be dropping into Brum in the near future as I am in the South of Spain. Where, you'll be interested to know, it's raining like a bitch these days. Supposed to be working, can't be bothered.
I think a would be more in order

I just wanted to drop you a note to say...
Hi Z,
Don't know really how I found myself here ('tis a little scary...), and please do excuse me for butting in like this BUT I think you could really help us out, or know someone who could.
Well, I'm from 'Get writing' and a bunch of us are trying to organise a meet for all our members before the site folds on 31st March. As there are folk travelling from all over (I'm from N.Ireland) we have chosen Birmingham as the ideal location. So far we have about 40 plus interested, and we're aiming for either the last w'end of Feb or any of the following three in March this year.
Thing is, no one seems to be actually from Birmingham and we are not having much luck in securing a venue that could provide a 'private' room for us and with either lodgings on site or nearby. (There are folk possibly coming from Brussels & Poland too).
Have you ay suggestions or recommendations as this is a matter of urgency??
Would really appreciate your help if you can and would be indebted to ye. I'll buy ye a pint if I see you - promise.
Many thanks,
Jen

Z Posted Jan 20, 2005
Hiya Jen, sorry I missed this earlier.
Humm places in Birmingham with attached facilaties?
Well if it's during the university holidays you could see if you could book into the university halls as a conference, but knowing the university that would be rather pricey.

PenJen Posted Jan 24, 2005
Well, it has now been arranged for 12th March, although some of us who are travelling from afar are booking in on the Friday. We're planning to meet in a place called the 'Old Joint Stock' but have yet to finalise any concrete details.
I could provide the neccesary links to the main discussion if you wish and you could post up yer name if you're game.
Jen
good luck

To:
Z it is really nice that you offered your expertise to Shazz and more to it: You follow it up! Congrat.!
Among the MANY voices offering help it seems you are the one who won the respectable position to be a major help to Shazz who certainly is a most remarkable person. But I also believe All the other nice people will be there to help on more permanent basis!

I just wanted to drop you a note to say...Z sorry the E-mail address you gave at Yahoo does not work. My test mail came back, saying that you don't have an account there.
I have to send my article to Shazz, though I'd tried to give her a break by sending you the stuff: The last Chapter from the "Come fly like a bird" Hope you get this message. Blue Bird
