Well there is a Northeastern US Researchers Group, which lists its members and the states they're in. It's at <./>A565940</.> and I'm guessing there are similar groups for other areas of the US. Most of the US researchers I know are actually part of this group, other than Pandora who I think is in Colorado and Michele of course who is in Kansas (near where I used to live).

Found a link... Central Researchers Group... that gives further links to several other groups, all of which list the States they cover, together with the researchers in those States.
