I know you`re not around at the moment, just thought I`d drop by to say thanks for calling on AR1. She thanked me for introducing you to her!! I know she was feeling a bit "left out" at one stage, and I felt she deserved better, with all she has to put up with.
Fortunately, things seem to have got a lot better, she seems to be doing just fine now!
Well Christmas is almost upon us, with all that entails.. have you got a decent break from work ? A relax and imbibe period ahead?
I will certainly be doing plenty of the latter, the family will be much in evidence, and I`ve trained `em well
See you soon..

It has been a pleasure talking to Also Ran - she seems really nice and talks very hightly of you so obviously has good judgement.
I am looking forward to a few days off although it is looking like I will have to do some work over the period (but probably from home)
I am not looking forward to Christmas day itself - spending time with my family is not the pleasurable activity you enjoy. I will however over the holiday be doing plenty of imbibing
Who knows I may even get to spend more time here !

Light, posted on your "drowning in chocolate" thread a short time ago, and re-reading it, feel I might have been a bit sharp refering to the other postings. I just felt they were out of place, and wanted to say so.
It wasn`t my place to do so, and for that I apologise
I might have pontificated a bit as well, but it`s just that I wanted to make you think of yourself for a change
Had some bad news this week. A very dear friend of mine died on Friday, and today I talked to his son about the funeral, etc.
Pete was a lovely man, kind and generous, and a true friend.
He had suffered for many years with a debilitating chest condition which made life very difficult for him, but he never once complained. We shared many good times together, I shall miss him. The funeral is on Friday. It will not be a happy day.
Take care.

I read your postings there and was very touched by them. I found tonsils revenge's first posting really hurtful although I am not sure why - I was / am feeling vulnerable and yes it made me cry. It felt out of place to me too. When I had regained a little composure I responded as I can see he is not a happy bunny himself and he was not to know why he had really hurt me. It is not something I can explain here and find really difficult in private too.
Your words as ever were very comforting to me and so wise. I do find it hard to look out for me and will try to take your advice! No promises though and I dont promse not to need telling again either
I was really sorry to read of your friend Pete. He sounds like an amazing guy. True friends are hard to come by and I am sure he appreciated your friendship too. I know yu will miss him and the good times you had together - please dont forget them. I will be thinking of you on Friday.
You look after yourself
