Susanne - if it ain't broke, break it! Posted Oct 22, 2006
All these artist here are really inspiring, I'm going to take out my pencils and paper right now and start something, too. I actually used to draw a lot when I was a girl ... -wait, I still am a girl
Those designs were really Pillowcase, I too liked the lizards best. Hoffentlich bekommst du von deinen Deutschstunden noch was mit, wenn du immer zeichnest .
Too many smileys in one post, do you think?

Yes, have you posted the floral?
I did a couple quick paintings this weekend after running across a blog that had all sorts of pieces of art that were pages of books and things where the artists selected a few words to "keep" and colored or painted all over the rest of them. Cool concept.
When I have a working camera again, I'll take photos and do my darnedest to post them in a blog and link to it here ...

Oooh, i like that idea! I have been known to tear lines from poems & incorporate them into my boxes.
I'm in a weird state artistically right now, working frantically to make stuff to hopefully sell at the Christmas fayre, so i am in my atelier most of the time, yet for me it isn't really "art" it's "craft" & there is a difference i reckon.
How would the rest of you "arty" folks define that difference?

Here's a blog about my new "art," complete with photos: http://denver.yourhub.com/PARKER/Blogs/Arts-Entertainment/Art/Blog~154931.aspx
As for what is craft and what is art, well! That's a challenge to answer. I suppose craft might be more "functional" than art, which is purely aesthetic.
Or the difference could be in the maker's approach and attitude when creating it.
Craft can be mass produced, but can and should art?

I haven't posted the floral yet -- I'll do that after the move. I'll be offline until Tuesday.

JELLEN?
How was the move?
... We can't wait to see your floral.
Until then, I've re-posted a holiday drawing blog from last year: http://denver.yourhub.com/PARKER/Blogs/Arts-Entertainment/Art/Blog~158115.aspx
And I wrote about meeting the artist who donated 42 of his drawings and paintings to a pretty amazing silent auction at a library. I was very lucky to be there to get photos as he hung his art work: http://denver.yourhub.com/PARKER/Blogs/Arts-Entertainment/Art/Blog~157690.aspx
A busy day for blogs, yesterday.
Thanks for the read.

The move was wild. Still getting settled in. Will still post floral, but give me time, things are hectic. About to start a nice new thread with all the juicy details of the last week.
