Hey everybody, go see Al Gore's new film about global warming, An Inconvenient Truth. It is powerful, and very convincing.

I've been planning to since I first heard about it & I've seen a number of positive reviews since! Now that it's at a local theater, I'm likely seeing it this week.

I really hope Al gets to be in a position to do his work within the Governement , a cabinet position maybe

This Thursday, BBC Radio 4's 'Today' programme is devoting half an hour or so to a discussion with James Lovelock.
Lovelock is the originator of 'The Gaia Hypothesis' - that the earth behaves as a number of dependent systems, as though it were a single organism. (NB he does not believe it *is* a single organism and has been thoroughly misunderstood and misused by hippy types).
Anyway...Lovelock is now saying that it's too late to prevent large-scale climate change and we'd be more sensible to focus our resources on dealing with it.
I'll post a link to their podcast later in the week.
