Hi!
Hmm... what time did you post this at? I tried to work it out from memory, but I don't think you posted at midnight - I asked START what the time was and it agreed, so we [START and I] must both be off!
So, what's it like living in Canada? I have a friend who's moving there later in the year, but he'll be living in Kelowna, which is way over the other side! The only person I actually know who once lived there is a scary bilingual person, who is in the process of learning even more languages!
(At this point, Serena, in a marvelous display of improbability, came round the corner. She just told me that "...you can never have enough [languages] - Marco Pollo spoke twelve!)
I ought to go now, I gotta do some work.
Bye!

Naha. I see. But may i ask, why did you have such difficultie in answering to my post?
P. S. You can never know enough languages. I know two fluently and about 4 not so good. (Latin, German, Greek, Russian). What of yourself?

Hmm... not sure what you mean by "having difficulty". If you're referring to grades, it's because we use a different numbering system over here. Otherwise, if it was to do with changing the conversation, that's because I thought that we had left the realms of neo-Boolean mathematics - whatever it's meant to be!
Wow... talk about linguistic ability! I wish I could speak all those languages - have you ever heard of an author called Umberto Eco? He writes books in which he quotes expressions in another language about every page or so. I had to stop every couple of pages in order to work out what the translation of the last sentance was!
I'd like to learn Latin, but the only places that do that around here are expensive private schools - I've picked up a bit, though, and it shouldn't be too hard to learn it properly. (I hope!)
What subjects are you studying?

I did not say I spoke those afore-mentioned languages FLUENTLY, I speak a bit of them (in fact, I'm starting to forget them all. However, I'm learing.
As to what I'm learning, it is the basic things; Math, English, French, Science, the Arts.... I still od not have selection yet.
And finally, you don;t have to create a new conversation board for every topic change; that's the beuty of this place in the great Space/Time Continuum.

Sowee... Just thought that I had gone of the topic of Neo-Boolean Mathematics!
Can't speak them fluently... well, I can only speak English (obviously) and French - and enough Latin for bibliographies! So I feel a bit dense compared to you!
What subjects are you going to choose? I liked almost everything I did, so I found it really hard to choose. Actually, I took Spanish once and now I can't remember a word of it! Except for a few words/phrases that sometimes come out by mistake - such as "Ou est la _playa_?"
The site is called 'The Brunching Shuttlecock'. It's quite funny, if you like that sort of stuff (which I do). Hopefully they won't remove this!
Anyway, I (still!) have Psychology coursework to finish, so I need to go! See ya!

Dense, I say nay! You, sir, are most likely wiser than I. Pray ye, sir, admitt the omni-present fact.

I think not, oh multilingual one! Hail, native language, which, by sinews weak// Dids't my infant tongue imperfectly to speak!
By the way - there's an article on that too (being bilingual) on the same site as the fuzzy logic thing - it's at [URL Removed by Moderator]
(it's called the 'Brunching Shuttlecock' - surely the moderators can't object to that! Please, Mr Moderator?) It's called "bilingual curious".

Aye, ye moderators removed ye link. However, you are a much better poet than I (and this is what I keep (I just got the title of Keeper and I'm very proud of it so I might brag about it for a little while which I really shoudln't but you'll have tuh forgive me.)).
Smumjeekt
Jordan Posted Jan 28, 2002
It's OK, be proud - I have a new title too, and I'm really chuffed and I feel awfully important. (Yay !) Besides, you're the KEEPER! All the poetry on the Earth belongs to you. So *you* are the better poet! Ha! So there! "Heavenly wisdom can slowly unfold// To mortals poor, transforming lines old// Into parodies, images and reflections bold// Of stories that never before were told!"
And it's all yours, as stated in Part III, Section A of the "Rights and Privledges of Keepers", "...all acknowledged possessions that come under the category described, intellectual, physical or otherwise, will instantly become the intellectual property of the Keeper thereof, and any attempt to refuse submission after creation will result in the instant explosion of the culprit, pending their reproccessing into Solyent Green." Part IV says that an alternative can be injuncted and the do-badders can be fed to the Squirmy Squids on Verybigteethia 12 (in the case of particularily gross-tasting people).

Oh my. Well, that most certainly is interesting. Pray tell me, whither didst thou findeth this? (Have you seen what I'm muse of?)
Smumjeekt
Jordan Posted Feb 1, 2002
Ah... You're Muse of everything! (Well, except for the metaphysical!) But Musedom is different from Keepership - if I'm right, the Muses are entitled to knowledge, while Keepers stand proxy over it. But you'll need to ask Archangel Galaxy Babe!
Oh, and I made up the statement from the evidence that I collected. (Haven't you seem what I'm Muse of ?)

Hey!
Sorry I took so long... had a holiday and couldn't get on a computer! I hate bank holidays... there's never anything to do, and besides, I didn't want to leave College for a week, and you get 'holiday morning symdrome'. (Where you can't get up at the same time that you use to because you're just *so* tired, and that bed is just *so* comfortable...)
Anyway, what'cha doin'? I'm bored (avoiding more classwork that I can rush off in an hour ) so I think I'll reply to all the posts I've left! (Ooh-err!) Everyone seems to come alive when I'm not here!
Do you have holidays in Canada around this time, or is it just a dumb British thing?

Jordan Posted Feb 22, 2002
Great. Why do us Brits have the monopoly on pointlessly short holidays? I'l need to figure out some way to get rid of all Back Holidays and append them to the Summer vacation... Perhaps I could manufacture some data to convince them...

(PS: Are there any Canadian things that come even close to being of British moronailty?)
