Karen's Page
Well, I should have updated this page a long time ago! I'm Karen and I'm a history major at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, U.S.A. I'm just about to graduate in a few months, and I can't wait to get out there and work!
I live in T'town (as we call it here) with my husband and my dog, Titus. When I'm not in class or keeping house, I love to read, cook, and watch movies, as well as taking road trips to see my friends. I especially love reading the Harry Potter books. I don't know what it is, but I absolutely adore those books, and I can't get enough of them! If you're reading this and you have avoided HP like the plague due to all the hype and the fact that they are "children's books", please take my advice and give them a chance. J.K. Rowling really hit gold with Harry, and I'm not ashamed to endorse them!
The reason I love being in this web community is because I feel a responsibility to learn more about European views about everything, and to spread the truth about America. If you read my first posting, you should know that I had some trouble a little over a year ago with people who were extremely intolerant of people from the U.S., so I enjoy trying my hardest to be impartial and intelligent when I discuss things. Who knows, maybe I can make my small mark on the effort for peace...(it could happen!)
I'll list some favorites of mine, and if you have something in common, please feel free to post a reply so we can discuss something!
-Karen-

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
