Umm... K. I can see Johnny Depp in a Castlevania movie. I mean, hes already played the role of a crazy pirate and a crazier candy factory owner.

nope, he played Lestat. He also played the morally corrupt Dorien Gray in LXG

He'd be good as Soma

If he portrayed Lestat good then I have no doubt that you are correct.

he played Lestat as a kind of angsty goth rocker who loved Jesse but couldn't turn her because then he'd kill off what it was about her that he loved. He was much less of the psychotic that Tom Cruise was in Interview With The Vampire, although he did feed on groupies. He always got their consent first, but they quite blatantly didn't realise he really was a vampire. I've got an avi of it as you can't get the DVD where I live.

I might look into renting it sometime. I don't know. The one book that I've read is the Case of the Body Switcher and he spends an awful long time non-vampirical.



If the book I've read is any indication then he gets into that kind of situation a lot.

the first half's good, however it goes a bit crap for much of the second half picking up again right at the end.

What kind of crap?

well Aaliyah, who played the titular Queen Akasha, was a really crap actress and much of the second part of the film is devoted to her.
