I was going to make a silly joke with posting 2222.... but missed it (arrgggg ).
Now, I'll have to wait for post 3333.
How's the parrot poster going ?
If you want to know my silly joke, post another 1109 postings and I'll post it !
If you want to spice up the parrot poster, you can put in a Mega-flea.

Hey, Spook! Are you sure this parrot isn't a parakeet? They're green with red bills ( not too many of those I hope) and are conspicuously long-tailed - like this thread.

Do you mean I've wasted days following up parrot leads when I should have been looking for a parakeet !
Back to square 1 (Luton I guess)

I didn't know Luton had a square called "1". Normally they have much more interesting names in the UK. Now in America you get 53rd Avenue and 42nd Street but in London you have such notable places as Leicester Square - which you'll note is nowhere near Leicester and is not made of cheese.

SEF, go to Milton Keynes, you'll be proved wrong!!!

Not about Luton I won't - unless Milton Keynes has suddenly become a suburb of Luton.
... and as for the rest of the UK and _all_ place names, I only said "normally"...

There's obviously something we're not doing quite right here. I've just checked the front page and we're only number 4. Now I can understand "The FoLDers Arms" and Askh2g2 being busy, but how on earth can all those dead men in the "Dead Man's Inn" be beating us with their posting. They must have ghost-writers.

Now there's an area where Spook really ought to have some leverage. Get over there, Spook, and persuade all those writers to follow you back here instead.

I might as well be - but you really should learn to follow the tree structure. If you don't have the diagrams on the right, the links up and down should tell you to which post one is actually replying.
Meanwhile, it turns out that all this time when he should have been parrot hunting, Spook has actually been stuck down a pothole lusting after a woman and demanding a double-bed.

The first draft of the parrot poster is ready. You can look at my test page at A1019684. If people want to put it on their spaces, here's some GuideML code:
Parrot Missing / Wanted
Have you seen this parrot?
Contact Spook on<LINK HREF="F76412?thread=263011&latest=1">F76412?thread=263011
You can put the "Parrot Missing" text in as another line within the poster of course rather than a header, but I think Spook should make it the subject title of a page (as I've temporarily done with my test page).
