What to Wear?

I've told that bl**dy stupid albatross, I am not going to any masquerade in human form.
I don't like myself when I'm human. It all sounds so very slick, doesn't it? Slipping out of your sealskin and hiding it under a stone somewhere, then tripping off into the town to wreak a little havoc.
But most of us hate the Selkie thing. We can't remember what we did when we were bipes, for a start. And humans are too easy. No courtship. No hint of selectivity. Ugh.
I'm going as me; blotches, fishbreath and all.
And I've decided to take Orchid. The albatross has been angling, but she depresses the hell out of me, and anyway it's unnatural. She isn't even a mammal.
Plus Orchid doesn't get too many chances to put on her organza and sequins these days. She gets wistful. It would break her heart to miss this one...
