How much of your work have you got backed up offline ?

All of the good stuff.
There are a few EG Entries I can't be bothered with.
And there are a couple of things in Convos that I maybe ought to preserve, like Ziv's economy lecture with beer glasses, and possibly a few choice cuts of Alberta and Orchid.
There's tons I've never posted too. Including a complete 120,000 word novel in near-complete draft that I'm not sure now that I ever quite told you about.

Your book was mentioned at one of our Pub and Chinese sessions. smiley - smiley
I'd always thought that you put your essays/writing together off line.
I'm glad you have archived it. I assume that you can use it as you see fit just as having posted on h2g2 you have given the BBC the right to use it as they see fit. A two way set agreement ?.
Why don't you put it into your own blog ? :- http://www.blogger.com

Ah good. I'm glad I mentioned it. The trouble is, I've chopped and changed the order so much that it doesn't make sense any more.

Nearly everything is constructed offline, yes, even including the more elaborate convo postings. I've tried a few times to produce a good piece straight down, beginning to end with no back-editing allowed. The only remotely satisfactory Entry written that way is this one: A2575758

You assume right. There's just a chance some of it might yet see Beeb-light co-operatively, maybe via local radio. And the blog, yeah. Later perhaps. Something I dream of more is Scrof putting some of it into her art.

Or Scrof's art into your writing. Pity Scrof never really took to h2g2.
I reckon if h2g2 survive's this turmoil it will be made for good and who knows DNA may get his blizzard smiley - ok
The 'boss' is still on top. Keep taking the pills.

With the way things are going I can see h2g2 getting tied in with Google. Twitter link to Google via Blogging.
Have a read here and go to the 'Create a Blog' box top right hand corner, it takes you to the Google Blogging site suggested in post 2.
Twitter Community link is here :- http://tales.twitter.com
The route Twitter > Google Blogg > h2g2/Pinniped
Perhaps you should open up with some of your writing on a Google Blogg come what may.
Pinniped and Trout already have a link here smiley - biggrinhttp://meldrews.blogspot.com/ again look top right hand corner smiley - biggrin

For the time being it looks as though my kind of entry ( ie. not for review ) would best be made on Blogger. Google would seem to be a much sounder foundation. smiley - cry
Linking up on Twitter but progress is slow. A bit like it was when I first came to h2g2 but with less likely hood of ever enjoying a real community. It's a bit like a message board with more messages but limited communication capability.
