Tell me you weren't at the pub and I missed you! Or that you're spending a year invisible for tax reasons or whatever!
It was rather fun - I arrived late, having had trouble finding the place, sat with Galaxy Babe, answered not one question in the quiz, but ended up on the winning team and gaining a T-shirt! yay!

You won't believe this - it's the lamest excuse ever - but I couldn't find the pub. I walked all over High Holborn for an hour. Was it that Shakespeare's something-or-other place? I thought it was called Penderel's Oak. So I went home feeling a little foolish. Are you staying in town for a while or back to Lux?

Yes, I had a tough time finding it too - had to txt Galaxy Babe, and then get Sarah back at the house to log on, get the address, phone the pub, get directions, and phone these to me! I'd be lost without my mobiles (literally). I was following a map wot I had printed off the thread, which had an arrow pointing nowhere near the pub!
Back in Lux - work and school on Monday mornings are not that negotiable. And I'm knackered after all that walking round london, plus a long journey home (left Waterloo at 12.30, back chez moi at 8.30 pm....)
So what did you do instead?

I was actually going to ring you, but had left my mobile at home, etc etc. All just a bit of a failed mission really. I'd been in Camden in the afternoon, so it wasn't a wasted day. I just went back to Reading at 9.30, and home.
Hooray! A week off work...
