h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Recently, the Editors received a number of emails from Researchers regarding Mike_A, who used to be a member of the h2g2 Community until a spate of excessive bad language saw him banned from the site. That was when he was 15 years old. Having kept in touch with Mike_A in the last three years, these Researchers have written to say that they believe Mike has grown up now and recognises the immaturity of his actions. Having discussed this with Mike himself over the last month or so, we have come to the same conclusion and have decided to give him another chance. As the account details for his main pre-BBC account have been lost, we have agreed to reinstate Mike on this alternative old account.

Mike's accounts were closed before the move to the BBC, and as such he has never experienced Moderation. We feel, therefore, that it would be only fair, on both himself and on the people who might remember him, if he returns to the site under pre-moderation, initially.

We should also add that we are treating this as a test case; this is not a declaration of amnesty.

We hope Mike enjoys the all-new h2g2 experience and that he can settle in comfortably.
