Not half bad, actually. It's Saturday night, I've got a happy pair of beers in me - how bad could life be from this standpoint? Work pressure is not too bad at this stage; that said, at the end of this year I have Horrible Life-Changing Exams. Yippee.
How about you? When will I see the next Quest in the Post, the novel/fictional/defying categorisation one?
No, seriously...

Exams? Never have guessed it. Still, the times of life when "horrible life-changing" them-things hover in the shadows have to be among the best of times. Just live 'em, yeah?
Hmmf...probably enough advice from geriatrics, doncha think?
The beer, me too. Shatter-daysh ish aw'right...
The new Quest...yeah. The Post probably is the place to get a well-read launch, but last time it took a steady two months of weekly contributions to qualify for the favour. I don't think it's quite there, yet, either. Too arcane. The last one worked because everyone knew LOTR.
It's fairly easy coming up with stuff, as I guess you find yourself. The hard part is appealing to anyone beyond yourself

These are the best days of my life, eh? That's just about the grimmest thought imaginable. But advice from you old fogeys is always welcome
*Offers and *
Good luck with getting the new Quest into the Post - I had never realised it took so long Persevere, y'hear? Or I'll stage a protest outside the Post offices...maybe set myself on fire

..."Now that I'm perfectly sure I have none", etc.
Ugh. That was a slightly unseemly thing to do, come to think of it. Kind of nonsense Lion used to get up to...
Anyway, the Post. I'm not at all sure it'd need months of devoted service. Last time, I asked Abi if the Quest constituted an "Activity" and got the hint that the Post would help its own contributors with this kind of thing. Maybe they still would. Dunno. Ought to ask, really. But we need a finished product first. Those guys are too frazzled to give editorial advice.
Hey, if you do plan to set yourself on fire, be sure to warn me. Wouldn't want to miss out on the chance to sell tickets for that one.
Key: Complain about this post
