Hi Mr Legion
Remember the Plasticine? Now apparently defunct, but good fun while it lasted.
I thought about offering another one - see Link. Would it run, do you reckon?

(I know it needs text colours changing for alabaster devotees)
Like your stuff, BTW. I looked at your "six" thing (hope you don't mind). It's pretty good. You know the Writing Workshop? Could be an idea if you're looking for constructive criticism, partic style criticism.

The 'six' story is a work in progress, actually. The stuff there is only what I've put online so far. It's actually intended to be published in serial format in the Post, which is why I haven't gone to the Workshop. I've contacted Shazz about that. Each chapter ends with a

hence the frequent cliffhangers. Whaddya think? What needs changing in it? (Sorry for loading the burden of critic on you, BTW).
Running off to check the new Quest now...

The idea of the characters that a novelist has started to develop and then abandoned turning on the novelist is great. I can just see the bunch of people from different genres ganging up, going on a quest. Maybe you could include some little piece at the end stating a little more explicitly what format the quest will take. I was a little confused after reading it the first time; the second time it just clicked with me. People could choose to be from a Western, a D&D, a romance, a horror...hehehe, could be a great . Go for it, by all means. I'll be first in line.
On the last Quest, well, I tried to jolly the lot along as resident wizard but, you know, it all just degraded into an orgy of ...couldn't be helped.

yourself. You were lurking all that time? Brrr, I feel dirty. Sorry I ousted you as the NazgĂșl equivalent by having Jamie Theakston BTW, does the fact that we never finished the last quest mean that Pingu is our evil overlord now? Strange how little changes in govt. actually affect our lives...

About 'six': I've taken all but the first chapter off the entry. If people can just come in and read it now, it'd be useless when/if published. If you like, I can email you the Word document of it instead.

Wotcha!
Just as things are getting interesting, I've got to go away for a couple of days. Would you credit it?
Off-line till Saturday 7th
Don't have all the fun without me. Back soon, and I wanna play...

Bloody RL. I sympathise I guess the search for Orchid will have to go on without you for a while - which could make finding her a bit tricky...
Whatever it is you're doing that doesn't involve h2g2...god, it must be awful. Good luck!

Hi MrL
Back at last. A lot of that RL around at the moment, but it's the good stuff at least. Quality hallucination.
You'll see a posting to the Boardroom thread soon(ish), but please note in advance that my prime objective is to make sure Orchid doesn't get hurt.
As I said, I want to play, particularly since the fate of the Plasticine interests me greatly. But adolescent machismo doesn't.
I've lost one good avatar in Coleridge this way already. They mean too much to me to see them snuffed casually.
To be fair to Mystrunner, he's been thorough in finding clues and has obviously read a lot of backthread. I'm relying on him being satisfied by the outcome of the future post, and promising not to kill. If he won't promise, I expect you to sort him out, OK? Until I'm satisfied that Orchid's safe, she simply won't show.

Sorry about Coleridge - I didn't realise at the time that your avatars were valuable to you. It won't happen again. Mysty has apparently lost interest in the contract out on Orchid anyway - he's stolen the plasticine and scarpered off to destroy it (he claims). Something about a change of heart and a new destiny. I'm not sure where he's gone with it.
"...the fate of the Plasticine interests me greatly. But adolescent machismo doesn't..."
As the old saying goes: You sleep with babies, you get s**t on.
But I promise Orchid has nothing to fear from me. I only named her as the inhumee because I had promised Mysty a contract and couldn't think of anyone else.

No...OK......I was a bit enhanced in that last Post. Tone too heavy, yeah...etc...apologies...
I'm fairly enhanced at the moment, too, right...you worked that out...good......well, then...
So we'll just play it out, and see what happens. If Orchid or anyone else gets it, then I'll have to find a way to resurrect her, or replace her with something better. Simple, innit?
...And don't think I was slagging you off, with the "adolescent machismo" crap. You're stuff is among the best in here. I mean it.
...and, yeah, I've realised I maybe owe Mystrunner an apology too. As long as you think about it, however you think about it, it's valid, right?

If you've been watching events on Mt Damp, you'll know that Mysty and his faithful band of do-gooders almost destroyed the plasticine. But, as its creator, I figured that you should get some say over its destruction. So I saved it, and am keeping it secret and safe.
*Pats pocket, face spasms*
Well, safe anyway. You may have guessed where it is.

Hi MrL
Yeah, I'm still lurking. Nice one with the concrete.
I have occasionally wondered what I'd do with Pingu if I got my hands on him. One notion was to fashion him into an albatross and get someone with the Art to breathe life into the new form. Ex-R, maybe? Then we could have Coleridge reincarnate, albeit with dodgy colouration and occasional outbreaks of psychopathic tendencies.
But if you've got ideas of your own, feel free to run with them. I really don't know if the Plasticine has World Domination Potential. A certain seal once said so, but he was a little excitable at the time.
Actually bringing Pingu the Assassin back could give Mystrunner a run for his money, I guess. Or, if you like, I could sign the badge in the Fort/Mt Damp Entry over to you (even correcting the link to somewhere sensible - it currently goes to Hot Property, an accidental throwback to its BIVA origins). If you were then to cut me out, that would leave you with an emblem no-one could take or change, = Absolute Control of the Plasticine.
I offered just this to Mystrunner, because I thought at the time he might give you an entertaining run for your money, but he passed up on it. I think he really did want to destroy it, dunno why.
And no, I can't find it, not yet. I've looked in three or four obvious places, but no joy. Not given up yet, though.
Keep it up and see you around.

*A dark form flits behind Mr. Leigon, and a knife flashes. Mystrunner darts off from behind at high speeds, holding Mr. Leigon's pocket, and the plasticine beneath, in his hand.*
It's always good to keep an eye on the background!
*A tear opens in front of him to The Chasm at Mt. Damp.*

Sneaky bugger He's only gone and destroyed it, you believe that? But don't worry, I know exactly how to get it back. For nothing is dead, that can eternal sleep...
The plasticine that was squished shall be rerolled. I guarantee it.
