that you felt you had to give up your application because of something a few obviously not artistic, insensitive people did...
noone gets everything right first time, and it's just a shame that they couldn't come up with any constructive critiscism...
if you ever feel like reapplying, if you get more confident about your skills or anything, please do so
i personally don't believe i can draw, nor do some of the other community artists think that of themselves, but their pictures are often very good, as i'm sure yours would be...
just thought i'd come and give my , anyway...

Thanks Clelba.
I need to find myself again. I have built myself up on a lot of assumptions. I don't think my friends were bad for give me a reality check, better them than Joe Public. Maybe I'll learn to draw and then I'll be back.
I'll stick to the booze for the moment.

I get the impression we are not communicating at the moment, I'm worried. What I have read here is not something you had shared with me. I thought we were together for better or worse.
I know that they were not looking for smilies at the mo, but what hurtful comments have you had, about what art?
I hate the thought that you cannot share this with me, wishes you would, cause you never know I maybe able to help.
You can draw, I know that, but maybe you need a little more practice, afterall we need to practice everything. Drawing freehand and computer graphics are 2 separate things.
As for the submarine/sword, I did offer to show you why I saw a sub and not a sword. Remember I said about shading? I hope you havn't deleted it, that would be a real shame, when maybe all it needed was a bit of tweaking.
I am not the enemy remember that, talk to me please.

Turns out Clelba that he is talking about something I did.
yes I laughed, bt I really thought it was a submarine, quite a good sub infact. So when he said it was a sword, obviously I laughed. I didn't mean to hurt his feelings but it was funny. I offered to show him why I thought it had happened, and to go over it, but he rufused.
I could not hide my laughter, but I was ghappy to talk it over with him.
I didn't know what was going on, cause he doesn't communicate with me anymore, I didn't know it was a test for being an artist here.
I offered to help, I didn't know my help had to be positive and fawning whatever I think. I am being made out to be a nasty person, when I just being honest.
Moomnglum is good at graphics, he did all the graphics for my magazine. We always intended to do another poublication later on, and he would do the graphics for that as well.
Obviusaly it won't happen now, becaise of one event and he gave up.
Excuse the spelling istakes, but this is one of the worst days of my life, the day when I realised my husband finds it impossible to talk to me anymore.
what a shame :-(

I feel its a shame that you canot take one thing going wrong before giving up completely. You know I think you are good at this stuff, you have taught me some if it.
Everybody gets stuff going wrong, thats no reason to run away. I never said it was a bad sub, I thought it was a good sub. So, I didn't recognise the sword until you said. So what. I bet not everything Michelangelo or Raphael etc did was an instant sucess straight from the start.
Just like the book, you write then you edit. Most authors write then edit 5 times. You are the only you hopes to write whilst editing and get it right the first time. I loved your book, and made you promise to finish it one day, but you havn't done another page.
Don't make out like I am unsupporting here. I love your stuff. So one thing went wrong, and you are happy to rest your whole love of art on my shoulders?
I will be removing you from my friends list, so that you can bitch about me in private without me finding it.
But conssider telling your friends the truth. I laughed and you deleted it, you never even wanted to listen to what I had to say. One thing goes wrong and you give up.
I think tonight is not a night to rush home. I don't want to talk about it. So I laughed, well you gave up your whole art career because of that without even asking why I had sen what I had seen. And now you blame it all on me. Its time to be a bit stronger and realise that life and hobbies have set-backs. If you are really interested you keep trying you don't give up so easily if it really means something to you.
I think your ego has become unmanageable if you let one set-back destroy your hoby. Try again, if you really cared about it, don't be such a coward.
Anyway we obviously have a huge problem in our marriage. We have always been very very close, and talked about every thought. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. I guess we need some space. We have some trips to family coming on, would it be enough space if we each did our own families apart?
Then you can work on your art in secret and not have to worry about receiving any criticism that isn't co,mpletlely positive and orgasmic.
You don't talk to me anymore so I don't see the point about talking about this. I knew something was wrong, I asked you why you were fed-up, I got no reply.
Until you feel you can talk to me again, then I can't be bothered obsessing over this. Just don't rush home and don't worry if I am not home. Make your own tea, I'll probably be out.
what a shame :-(
