Seasonal greetings!

I've recently become disillusioned with the whole H2G2 thing, not because I think it is a poor idea (because it's actually great! - I too, have read all the books and am very happy that this concept has come into fruition).

No - my objections run much more deeply than that. I have now written and submitted three articles (at the time of writing) as well as becoming embroiled in a cruel and vicious cycle of verbal and physical intimidation with a stand-up comedian from North-East Manchester, who has systematically denounced my work with threats of violence and legal action. That's not the source of my despair, by the way, I am more worried by the fact that I think that there's not one of my badly-thought-through streams of observation that is suitable for contribution to The Guide.

I can try and justify this by reading some of the other contributions to The Guide and feel that they have somehow missed the point. But I think that what is essentially happening here is that I tend to view this whole thing as much more personal than what The Guide should be about. I see it as my own little wallspace, where I can write what I like and to hell with anyone else. That view might change, however, if I decide to put one [article] in and get it published, or whatever happens on here.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
