You don't use a pen ...... a severed finger works very well.

I read somewhere that Saddam Hussain
hired someone to copy the Koran using
Hussain's blood. smiley - yikes

Maybe "hired" isn't a strong enough word.
Try "forced" or "threatened".

I heard that too. Quite disturbing. Gives the Koran a bad name!!!!

I came across the story as well. After the 91 Gulf War Saddam suddenly got religion realising he needed support from Islamic states. He cynically had this copy of the Koran made and placed it in the Mother of All Battles Mosque - a tasteful little affair with minarets in the form of Scud missiles apparently.

Is Saddam Hussain a nutcase, then?

From what I've read, many Muslims regard
writing the Koran in blood to be against
God's wishes.

You'll need a severed finger for best effect - they stopped selling them at WalMart though.

I read somewhere that somebody had discovered
a way to keep wolves alive on a vegetarian
diet. I don't know if this has been verified
or not. I mean, the people could have been
delusional. Or the wolves could have been wolfing
down local squirrels when the people weren't
looking. smiley - erm

An instant classic.

Um, Susan, I didn't want to have to mention
this, but the children seem to be disappearing,
one by one. We had ten of them when we started
raising wolves, and now I can only ever find
three. I know you keep saying they've gone to the
market to pick up stuff for you, but do they
really have to go seven at a time? And stay away
indefinitely?
