There's a lot I could say, but I'm not going to.
Be glad you had no dealings with her.

On a good note, my daughter {hfh} is on her way round, so I can nip to Tesco's to do a bit of shopping while she minds Andrew for me.
So you may see her onlinesmiley - winkeye
I might be back later, then again I might finish scraping, but I am definately watching the football tonight with a bottle of vodka.smiley - bigeyes

smiley - yikes Football and vodka, can't be that bad surely.
Me, I'm off seeing a friend again for the long weekend. I'm just dreading the drive out of London as I'll be going as soon as I get home later.

Got the scraping finished.
Been priced up for re-plastering the ceiling, £85.
Less than I thoughtsmiley - bigeyes
That's being done on Wednesday, but I've got to move my bed out of the room, God knows where I am going to shift it to!
Maybe lower it out the window?
smiley - laugh
Enjoyed the match.
Looks like a good film on tonight, a Guardian Angel one.smiley - winkeye

Very good, thanks.
We seem to be progressingsmiley - bigeyes
Things have changed since I gave Steve permission to treat Andrew as he would his own child, when we're out.
It's tough love, but Andrew needs it.
I can't have him acting the way he does when he's a teenager ...

Steve took us to Wonderland {where we went}, around the Sunday market {it was on a Monday due to the Bank Holiday}smiley - smiley then to the carnival in Grimsby.
After major stresses in the first half of the day, Andrew was remarkably well-behaved at the carnival.
He especially enjoyed the ride on Steve's shoulders.smiley - winkeye
He got to go on a few mechanical rides as well.

It's starting to feel like *family* now, and I'm happysmiley - smiley

I'm finding it hard trying to adjust to being one half of a couple.
Steve is certainly doing all he can, since *I* stopped trying so hard.
Isn't that strange?smiley - bigeyes

I don't know. After being on your own for some time I guess it would be hard to adjust to being part of a couple (as it is when you go the other way as well).
I think the best you can do is try and be relaxed about it and see how it goes. Sounds like it's going well so far smiley - smiley

Oh it is.
He actually makes a point of mentioning the next time we are going to see one another, before he leaves now.
That tells me it's serious, from his point of view.
I'm growing in confidence every day.

So how was your weekend?
Did you go to the Leeds meet?

Had a lazy weekend in the country seeing a friend. Went out for some walks and a drive round a few places. Visited a few country pubs and had some good food and beer (though not while driving of course!).
I thought about the Leeds meet but then didn't in the end. Felt more like being lazy as sometimes is good when you can.

Oh yes.
Felt like that yesterday after walking all round Cleethorpes & Grimsby.
Steve just texted me from the outskirts of London, on his way home.
He says driving round London was a nightmare.
smiley - laugh
He's telling me, being a pedestrian is bad enough.

It's very hot here...wouldn't be fancying travelling by tube tonightsmiley - bigeyes

Horrible, aren't I?

Having sat in queues of traffic on the N. Circular and M1 on the outskirts of London, I know just what it's like smiley - sadface At least he's on his way back.
I'll just stand there, falling asleep or reading my book, like I did this morning getting into work. You do sort of get used to it after a while. I must say I was most impressed last week when I remembered to get my new ticket on friday rather than this morning smiley - bigeyes
I wouldn't say that you're horrible smiley - kiss

I hope you vac's good to clear up the plaster dust! (This is what I'm told from people who have had plastering done!)

smiley - erm
Would you believe I'm STILL waiting for the plasterer????
smiley - grr
My bedroom is an empty shell...yesterday morning my older son came round to help me dismantle my bed & move it out the room.
I took down my curtains & finished scraping the walls, then started walking the floor.
He never turned up, so I phoned.
He sounded like I woke him up!
He says Steve told him there was no rush!!!!!
smiley - grr
I told him I'd moved out the furniture, he said he'd definately do it tomorrow {today now}.
Today, he rings me.
Can he call for money to go get plasterboards....
Sound promising?
He collects £40, returns with 5 plasterboards, a bag of plaster & a bag of nails, and £20 change.
Then leaves.
smiley - grrsmiley - grrsmiley - grr
He's supposed to be returning in the morning to do the job.
When I spoke to Steve tonight, he said that Mick hasn't returned home {he's Steve's lodger} nor was he there last night....
Now both of us are worried.smiley - sadface

Sorry.
Didn't mean to dump that lot on you.
But I'm fed up.
I've got to sleep with Andrew again, in his single bed.
smiley - sadface
I can't set my bed back up, it's too heavy.
smiley - cry
smiley - blue
