More Sad News
Posted Dec 2, 2003
This is weird as someone said earlier that their gran was in hospital with a stroke and it reminded me of my gran who passed away earlier this year.
Well, I got a text from my Dad this evening when I was in the pub telling me that my gran's sister, my great-aunt, died today.
I saw her at my gran's funeral. Her husband had died a couple of months earlier and she was, it's fair to say, a shadow of her former self. I remember holding her hand when we were sitting out in the sun and she held onto me in that way that upset people do for comfort. There were no tears but you could tell.
Rest in Peace.
